• DACHSER continues its intercontinental development with the creation of a joint venture with the Dutch company Seacon Logistics [350 employees – turnover of EUR 100 million]
Both partners have a 50% holding in the new company, DACHSER Netherlands Air & Sea Logistics B. V., based in Maastricht. While its primary objective, under General Manager Huub Leurs, will be to promote intercontinental air cargo services, it is also tasked with developing sea cargo services.

‘The Netherlands,’ explains Thomas Reuter, Managing Director of DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics, ‘is growing in importance as a strategic location in Europe and this new cooperation with Seacon Logistics will give our customers new opportunities, offering them direct access to this market and enabling them to benefit from the local expertise of our partner.’ For Seacon Logistics, this cooperation brings access to DACHSER’s intercontinental network with its 297 locations worldwide.

DACHSER has been active in the Netherlands since 1975 through its European Logistics segment, with two branches at Waddinxveen and Zevenaar. These are connected to the group’s overland network, comprising 157 branches linked by 3,620 daily scheduled services.
