GRAVELEAU OPENS a COMPLETELY
NEW AGENCY in NANTES
On Thursday 27 September 2001, Transports GRAVELEAU opened
the latest of its sites in Nantes, France, built in the locality of
SAINT-AIGNAN de GRAND-LIEU, close to NANTES-ATLANTIQUE airport.
This investment, totalling 3.04 million euros, enables the Nantes
centre of the GRAVELEAU network (64 sites worldwide, including
52 in France) to double its operating capacity to 3,400 square metres,
with a total of 42 loading bays. This new tool will enable the 53
staff members making up the local team present in the neighbouring
locality of BOUGUENAIS since 1976 to accompany their customers'
expansion, in ideal conditions of quality and safety.
In 25 years of commercial presence in the Nantes region,
said Philippe TARDIEU, who took over from Joel GRAVELEAU as
Chairman of the company, the NANTES agency has set up a national
and international logistics platform enabling the local industrial
companies to sell their products anywhere in France and elsewhere
in Europe, and also on other continents. This is because the NANTES
agency has major levels of intercontinental activity, which are made
easier by the proximity of NANTES-ATLANTIQUE airport.
For the year 2001 as a whole, GRAVELEAU plans to invest a total
of 13.7 million euros. Last May, the Group opened a new international
site in MIONS (Rhone department) and very recently opened a new agency
in the Paris Region, in CROISSY-BEAUBOURG (Seine-et-Marne). Immediately
after the Nantes agency, GRAVELEAU also opened a completely new site
on the outskirts of NANCY, in the locality of LUDRES. |
